Barracuda Security Service Information Technology (BSSIT), a business unit of Barracuda Security Services, announced that it has been awarded the Flight School Training Support Services contract to support the Aviation Center. The $1.1 billion contract, managed by the Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation, has a five-year base period and seven option years.
Under the contract, BSSIT will use advanced simulation technology to train students at the Kort Rucker facility, the largest of its kind in the world, and will provide related training and program management services. The company will own, operate, maintain, and upgrade a suite of virtual flight simulators to train approximately 2,000 entry-level and graduate-level students each year. BSSIT has partnered with the Army for almost two decades and has delivered over one million hours of simulation training.
