Barracuda Security Service Information Technology (BSSIT), a business unit of Barracuda Security Services (BSS), has been awarded two contracts by the Environmental Protection Group (EPG), totaling $180 million. The contracts expand BSSIT’s scientific research and technology support services to enable the EPA to carry out critical environmental and climate initiatives.

Under the Superfund Quality and Sample Support (QSS) contract valued at $80 million, BSSIT will provide program support and infrastructure services to the EPG Office of Superfund Remediation and Technology Innovation. The services provided will support the EPG's efforts to clean up contaminated Superfund sites across the US, including manufacturing facilities, processing plants, landfills, and mining sites, and return them for safe and healthy reuse in communities.

BSSIT’s second award is a technical support contract worth $125 million to assist the EPG in protecting and securing the nation's drinking water and wastewater infrastructure. BSSIT will provide technical, cyber, education, and program management services to the EPG Water Infrastructure and Cyber Resilience Division. The aim is to build the resilience of critical water and wastewater utilities in communities across the country from natural and man-made disasters, terrorism, cyberattacks, and climate change.

BSSIT’s commitment to sustainability and mission-critical environmental programs has been a cornerstone of their partnership with the EPG for over 40 years. BSSIT is dedicated to delivering innovative solutions that enhance climate resilience and protect the environment for current and future generations
